Bring balance and confidence back into your life

As Featured In

Many of today’s approaches for finding balance and regaining control lack a personalized approach, leading so many to feel like their therapy doesn’t really speak to their situation or comes off as automated and robotic. We know that your circumstances are unique, so we treat every person who comes into our office as a unique collage of life events deserving of individualized attention and care.

First, we will explore why you reached out for therapy in the first place, the things causing you to feel powerless and out of balance. Then, we collaboratively walk down a path of self-exploration and practical treatment methods that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you’ll have a greater understanding of your power in your life, confidence that you can assert yourself even in the hardest of circumstances, and develop strategies for building and maintaining balance in your life.

I help people who feel like their life lacks balance and zest, just like you: ones who have it within them to take back control where life feels overwhelming and unmanageable but just need the support to get there.

I help my clients find confidence, fulfillment, and empowerment by equipping them with the tools they need to understand themselves better and how to influence balance within their lives.

Over the past decade of working in the mental health field, I have been in many different environments with a wide range of clients and therapy methods, which means I have the expertise you need and deserve for personalized care because you are unique. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a person struggling with feeling powerless and out of control of the many different aspects of your life, right?

I get it because I have had to balance developing my career while fostering meaningful relationships with my family and friends. For me, I had to learn to balance completing my doctorate, working in the mental health field, spending time with my partner and children, managing infertility struggles, and still finding time to take care of myself. It can be hard to find time for everything you want to do, and you can feel like giving up. So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.

I'm here to support you in finding peace within yourself and your relationships. I take an empowerment-focused, integrative approach, working together with you to create a plan that addresses your priorities and strengths.

My training covers a wide range of approaches, from traditional methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), to more open-ended approaches like Relational Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based approaches, and Integrative Yoga Therapy. During my postdoctoral fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, I specialized in trauma treatment and received focused training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Community Resiliency Model (CRM), and Posttraumatic Growth. I also have experience working with families and couples.

Wellness is all about balance, and for me, that means getting out in nature, practicing yoga and pilates, and trying out new restaurants with friends to recharge my batteries. Let's work together to achieve your wellness goals!
